this shrine is dedicated to the protagonist of the guilty gear series (and the webmaster's personal favorite little freak), sol badguy. over the course of the series, his cool and disaffected persona begins to give way to a passionate and caring heart, and his personality, along with his flashy style of both fashion and fighting, and challenging but rewarding gameplay, have made him an enduring icon of the fighting game genre, and he's been capturing hearts (including mine) since 1998.

  • Height: 6'0" (184cm, 182cm prior to GG2O. wonder what changed?)
  • Weight: 74kg (163 lbs?! ridiculous...)
  • Blood Type: Unanalyzable (listed as B in GG1 prototype materials*)
  • Origin: United States of America (where exactly is unclear, new york city and houston, texas in particular are theorized, but it's unknown. i however strongly believe him to be from ohio, if anyone cares)
  • Date of Birth: Unknown (this was phrased as "...I don't know." in GG1. rather sad implications there.)
  • Hobbies: Listening to QUEEN
  • Likes: His "Sheer Heart Attack" record by QUEEN
  • Dislikes: Effort, trying hard (me too, brother.)
  • Afilliation: Nobody
  • Weapon: Outrage MK.II (previous weapons include the Junkyard Dog, Fireseal and... a slab of concrete?)

    • *i couldn't fit this into the list above, but these prototype materials have a few differences from what we ended up with in canon. in them, sol was listed as being 177cm (about 5'10... i think) and 67 kg (147 POUNDS?!). he's also given the explicit age of 24, interestingly enough! more on that below.

    How Old Is Sol, Really?

    idk if this'll become an actual FAQ segment im just chilling. anyway, short answer is probably 195-196 years old, with 200 being a perfectly acceptable roundup because its funny (at least to me)

    long-ish answer: if you're willing to take the prototype stuff as canon until further notice, then sol was 24 when he legally died (and also got transformed into a gear), with his physical aging completely halted since. we also know that all that happened in 2016, so if he was 24 during that year, he must have been born around 1992. though i say around because we can't really know specifics, because his actual birthday is unfortunately completely unknown. regardless, as of strive the current year in-universe is 2187, so doing some basic subtraction, you get 2187 - 1992 = 195
